Hi all my 2008 vito side rear door has decided it is no longer unlocking consistently with the remote lock unlock. The main problem is that the door does not physically shut fully. So sometimes it will not unlock remotely more importantly sometimes it will not lock remotely so i need to manually lock it inside first. If so replace the fuse.

The lock within the door is 2 stage the extra couple of mm at the end when closing makes the difference for it actually locking. If just one lock won t open on your mercedes then the problem may rest with broken wiring a bad solenoid or perhaps with a blown fuse. You can try this with a screw driver shaft into the the receiver the u clasp engages with. Be sure to unlock before you close the door again.

Initially tested by putting wire across terminals and figured out that green and red turned the open door light off in the dash. My 2006 merc vito has 4 wires into the rear door locking mechanism. The electrics will not be connected until the door closes properly as the contacts are on the same end of the door that does not engage the lock hook correctly. My vito had some central locking problem and fixed.

You will need to connect red and green wires door locks perfectly and open door light in dash is not illuminated. The dash switch only do lock but wont unlock the doors. Push you see it catch push more you see it close a little further. Left hand side id normal.

The physical lock unlock buttons work ok from inside. The driver side sliding door and rear door wont lock or unlock by central lock. Check your fuse box first to determine if a blown fuse is keeping the lock from working.
